'Anjaana Anjaani' gets a mixed response
The first day, first show of the film saw a large presence of college students in the audience

Directed by Siddharth Anand, Anjaana Anjaani finally released today and the mood at the first day first show of the film indicated that the younger crowd is definitely giving the film a thumbs-up.

The storyline revolves around two strangers who meet by-chance, and traces their love story unfold from that point onwards. A series of hilarious misadventures unfurl as they fall in love, before experiencing intense pain while having to make very difficult decisions. Two strangers Akaash(Ranbir Kapoor) and Kiara (Priyanka Chopra) set forth on this journey of self-discovery as well as finding out if strangers could actually change one’s life.

The first day, first show of the film saw a considerable number of college students at a city multiplex. Here’s what they had to say about the film...

Kritika Pandey says, “The hype around the film was so much that I had to come today itself to see it. Priyanka Chopra’s acting skills are improving by the day.”

Siddharth Sarkar says, “The first half of the movie was interesting. But the second half dragged on. Plus almost every scene had Ranbir and Priyanka drinking. That may not be a great influence on kids watching the film. I have brought my teenage daughter along, and I am not happy”

Surabhi Khaitan says, “Ranbir Kapoor dancing in his boxers was rather cute. He will definitely go a long way.”

Mohan V says, “The film was too long. Sometimes Indian directors have good stories but don’t know how to execute them well. Plus, some of the emotional scenes were very superfluous. The performances, however were good”

Shruti Akerkar says, “Without any other big name in the star cast, it is commendable how the two lead actors have managed to hold our attention. Zayed Khan was the surprise element in the movie, though he only has a cameo.”

With both Ranbir and Priyanka impressing the audience, it looks like the film will be a crowd-puller.
