Akhilesh Yadav to address rally in Agra, Mathura

UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will address three rallies in the Agra and Mathura on Saturday. He is expected to reach Agra by 1.30pm.

Akhilesh had on Friday slammed the much-touted Gujarat model of development, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav saying the SP government has launched more welfare programmes in the state than Narendra Modi's government.

Addressing a gathering in favour of SP candidate Lal Singh Tomar, Yadav said, "SP government in Uttar Pradesh distributed laptops to students, provided monetary assistance to girl students and provided unemployment benefits to youths." "Can Gujarat government tell people about any welfare programme like that?" Yadav asked.

He also said that the SP government has launched many welfare programmes for Muslims to bring them to mainstream.
