Adobe unveils Acrobat X
Adobe Systems announced the launch of its new Acrobat X software family.

San Jose: Adobe Systems announced the launch of its new Acrobat X software family, that includes - Acrobat X, Reader X, the Acrobat X Suite and new document exchange services at Acrobat.com.

The new version of Acrobat makes its easier to export documents to Microsoft's Word and Excel software. It can also create PDF Portfolios that bring together multiple file types.

The Acrobat Reader X has commenting features with sticky notes and highlighter tools. The new Acrobat Reader will also be compatible with mobile devices such as Android, Windows Phone 7 and Blackberry Tablet OS. A new document exchange service, Adobe SendNow, is available on Acrobat.com.

The Acrobat X release lineup includes Acrobat X Standard, Acrobat X Pro, Acrobat X Suite (includes Adobe Photoshop CS5, Adobe Acrobat X Pro, Adobe Presenter 7, Adobe Captivate 5, Adobe Media Encoder CS5, Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES2), Adobe Reader X, Acrobat.com services, including new Adobe SendNow and Adobe Create PDF online document exchange services.

Acrobat X and its associated products are scheduled to ship within 30 days. Estimated street price for: Acrobat X Standard $ 299 ($ 139 upgrade); Acrobat X Pro $ 449 ($ 199 upgrade); Acrobat X Suite $ 1199 ($ 799). Free 30-day trial of Acrobat Pro will also be available.
