Siddharth Bharathan is all euphoric over the rave reviews he is garnering for his character in 'Spirit'. The actor says, "I am getting accolades from all corners for playing the tippler Samir who has a crucial role in the film. It was a privilege to get an offer to work with the trio of Ranjith-Mohanlal-Venu. I take it as a personal pride to get myself associated with them."
Wielding the megaphone has always been Siddharth’s prime passion, he discloses. Yet sharing the screen space with Mohanlal had lured into taking up the role in the film which is a serious take on the alcoholics of Kerala. He says, "Lal's acting is something inexplicable. The movie was a learning experience for me. It is my long-time aspiration to do a movie with Lal."
After his tryst with other industries, Siddharth has returned to Mollywood this year through 'Nidra'. The latest buzz is that he has committed to a new project as director with the AOPL Production House that produced 'Apoorvaragam' and 'Second Show'.
He says, "The discussions of the new project is through, though we are still in the initial stages. We have not even decided the genre of the film. We are planning to introduce fresh faces for the movie, including the scriptwriter."
The actor-director says that though several acting offers are coming up, he has not made any commitments yet. "I am taking a sabbatical from acting as I would like to concentrate more on direction."
