Action on use of illicit liquor at parties

KOCHI: The District Excise Janakiya Committee has decided to take action against the distribution of illicit liquor at private functions.The private functions include birthday parties and marriages.  The committee in its meeting said that special squads would be set up to look into such complaints. Also, strict action will be taken against the sale of paan masala on school premises. District panchayat president Eldhose Kunnappilly said a meeting of all panchayat  presidents would be convened to discuss the issue.
