HYDERABAD: The Central Crime Station (CCS) police on Thursday arrested eight employees of the CMS Security Services Limited, a security agency, in connection with the siphoning off Rs 2.6 crore that was meant to be deposited in different ATMs of  various banks.Police said, the issue came into light when the CMS authorities were auditing at certain ATMs. The arrested were identified as Shiva Kumar, Sridhar Goud, Srinivasulu, Sai Kumar, Srikanth, Vara Prasad, A Srinu and Murali Mohan, police said adding four other persons including the main accused are still at large.Police said, Lalit Kumar, the main accused, hatched a plan to pilfer a part of the amount given to them by the security agency to deposit in various ATMs in the city.The agency would give them Rs 30 lakh, of which they would deposit only Rs 20 lakh and share the rest among themselves. However, they used to enter the full amount on the agency records, police said.Surprisingly, the system could not tally the amount entered on records with the ones deposited in ATMs, the police added.The CMS has its agreement with the Andhra Bank, Axis bank, ING Vysya, and SBI. A few months ago, the CMS authorities noticed the matter, and lodged a complaint with the police, who arrested eight employees, who reportedly confessed the offence.
