5 die in Jagatpur bus accident

CUTTACK: At least five persons were killed and about 20 others injured when the bus in which they were travelling overturned at Jagatpur on Sunday evening. Vehicular movement on the busy National Highway No.5 was disrupted for several hours following the accident.The bus, carrying more than 40 passengers, was going from ARC, Charbatia to Cuttack when the accident took place.According to eyewitnesses, the driver lost control of the bus when a stray bull rushed onto the road.The driver, in a bid to save the bull, swerved the bus but could not control the vehicle.The bus hit the bull and overturned. The vehicle took more than four turns before crashing onto the the other side of the road.The deceased were identified as Bhimsen Behera, Ganda Barik, Bulu Behera, Balakrushna Sethi and Jema Reddy.
