4 Pachaiyappas students held after brawl in bus

City Police has arrested four Pachaiyappa’s College students here on Thursday in connection with an attack on a Presidency College student at Anna Arch bus stop.

Police said the arrested quartet- Ganesh, Venkatesh, Mahesh and Vinod, all aged 20, were arrested for stoning an MTC bus ‘27H’ halting at Anna Arch bus stop in which  Deepak (20), a second year BA (political science) student of Presidency College was injured in the head.

Another student Ganesh (19) from the same college, who alighted from another bus which came after 27H to that bus stop was also injured during the incident.

The quartet was unable to tolerate the merry making of the Presidency Students during the ride and had been complaining of it.

This  prompted them to throw stones on the Presidency College students in a bid to scare them.
