New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation on Wednesday submitted a sealed report on corporate lobbyist Nira Radia's conversations with others pertaining to the 2G spectrum allocation in the Supreme Court. The agency told the court that after examining her conversations with others it has found an element of criminality involved in these conversations.
The investigating agency now wants to investigate the case further and will file a preliminary inquiry regarding 10 issues. The court has now sought the Income Tax department's reply on these findings raised by the CBI.
Bharti Airtel chief Sunil Mittal and Essar Group promoter Ravi Ruia, too, were at the CBI special court in Delhi in connection with the 2G spectrum allocation case. Both had challenged the CBI court's summons. CBI special judge OP Saini had on July 8 adjourned the case till July 31 after lawyers appearing for Mittal and Ruia informed the court that the matter was pending in the Supreme Court.
