New Delhi: Pradeep Kumar Sinha, a 1977 batch Indian Administrative Service officer, has been appointed the new Cabinet Secretary.
He takes over from Ajit Seth who was already on extension and his term ends on June 13.
Sinha was earlier the Power Secretary before his elevation to the top most post in Indian bureaucracy. He has earlier been Secretary in the Ministry of Shipping, and has held several other important positions in the Union Government and Uttar Pradesh.
