Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday said that the governance caged in the fortresses was freed and reached the folk in the state after the Congress came into power.
CM Revanth along with his deputy Bhatti Vikramarka released the logo to six gurantees, Praja Palana and Abhaya Hastam and the application form at a programme held in the Secretariat in Hyderabad earlier in the day.
“We except pots with treasure but we found empty pots. From December 28 onwards we will receive application forms from the people for the five guarantees (Mahalakshmi, Rythu Bharosa, Gruhajyothi, Indiramma Illu and Cheyutha) in villages, towns and municipal wards. The forms will be received through Grama Sabhas within eight working days. We are trying to collect the details of the beneficiaries on or before January 7. We decided to extend the guarantees to the eligible. The government itself will reach the people and try to deliver justice to them. Tahsildar is responsible to the concerned mandal. Every official will visit two villages a day. The government has been treating the Praja Palana programme as a prestigious programme,” Revanth said while addressing a gathering.
Speaking on the issue of new ration cards to the eligible, the Telangana CM further said, “Issuance of ration cards is a continuous process. We will fill as many as two lakh vacant posts within a year. We came to know that a woman met former minister KT Rama Rao after her problem was not solved in the Praja Vani programme. He gave Rs. 1 lakh to her from the crores of rupees he looted.”
He further stated his government would hand over the looted money to the people. “The previous rulers purchased as many as 22 new cars and kept them secretly to use them if they came to power for the third time,” the Telangana CM added.
He further said that the state government is committed to delivering the fruits of the welfare schemes to each eligible.
In an attempt to clear the clouds on the functioning of the TSPSC, Reddy said, “The competitive exams will not held without the TSPSC chairman and the members have already submitted their resignations and we will form the new TSPSC, appoint chairman and members after the governor decides in this regard. Later we will take up filling up vacant posts in various government departments. We will decide on the conduct of the Group-2 exams after discussing the issue with the officials concerned.”
Speaking on the Medigadda project, CM Reddy also said, “Judicial enquiry has been going on the project. The role of the L&T and the officials concerned will come to light after the completion of the enquiry. We released white papers on the corruption of the previous government. They bankrupted the state by taking loans to the tune of Rs.6.71 lakh crores. We are trying our best to move forward in the worst situation. We will collect Central funds. We haven’t fixed any limits to the Rythu Bandhu scheme so far. The free bus travel scheme for women in the state turned grand success. We foresighted the situation of the auto drivers due to the free bus travel scheme and we will provide financial assistance to the auto drivers.”
