How to Use Eyebrow Pomade to Define Eyebrows
Eyebrows are the new eyeshadow. The look of big, bold brows continues to grow in popularity in today's culture. Using an eyebrows pomade, or filling in your eyebrows at all, can seem hard to beginners. However, with a little patience and practice, anyone can have defined brows. To learn how to apply eyebrow pomade, continue reading this article below.
Steps

Preparing to Fill Your Brows

Purchase a pomade with the correct shade. Eyebrow pomades come in multiple colours and shades. The rule of thumb is to match the pomade to your hair colour and find a shade that suits your complexion and skin tone. Swatch testers on your hands, or have your shade matched by a beauty therapist.

Gather the materials. Makeup items and multiple beauty tools are needed before you define your brows. You will need: Moisturiser Eyebrow gel (tinted or clear) Eyebrow pomade Concealer Tweezers A small angled brush (for the brows) Spoolie A flat brush (for concealer) Beauty blender

Clean up your brows. The eyebrows must be clean and well-shaped before applying makeup. Pluck excess hairs to make sure the eyebrows are shaped and fairly even.

Moisturise your face. It's important to prepare your face before applying any makeup to it. Moisturiser will create an even base to apply concealer to the edges of the brows while hydrating the skin. Primer can also be used to prime your face before makeup application.

Applying Pomade to Your Brows

Apply a small amount of product to an angled brush. Remember; you can always build and apply more product later. Apply a small amount of product at first and slowly build-up the application.

Outline your brows. To achieve a defined look, your eyebrows should be outlined with the pomade first. Apply a light amount of pomade to your angled brush and start by applying to the tail of your brow. Outline the top and the bottom of the brow along the tail with the pomade product. Your tail should always be the darkest, and the front sparsely filled in to create a feathered look. You can achieve this by filling the tail with the product first and then filling the front sections of your brow.

Fill in with pomade. Filling in the brows properly allows for a natural yet sculpted look. Apply more pomade to the angled brush if needed, and starting with the tail again, fill in between the lines previously made. As mentioned with outlining your brow, you should apply more product to the tail of the brow and less product to the front. Those with fuller brows like to leave the front of the brow with no product to create a feathered look.

Blend your brows. Using a spoolie, brushing your brows upwards to blend them. Brush the front of your brows to make the product fade to prevent "blocky" eyebrows.

Set your brows in place. It is important to ensure that all of the hairs are in place, and none are going the wrong way. Brush the hairs out with the spoolie, brushing up first then over. Then, use the eyebrow gel to set them in place.

Carve your eyebrows with concealer. Carving is the technique of cleaning the edges of the eyebrows by outlining them with concealer. Apply the concealer to a flat surface, like the back of a hand, and use a flat brush to carve out the brows. Use the beauty blender to blend the concealer into the skin, and get rid of any harsh lines.

Apply the finishing touches. Make sure that the eyebrows are finished. Fill in any spots that need to be filled, blend anything that needs to be blended, and gel the hairs one more time to set them in place.

Repeat the previous steps on your other eyebrow. Once both eyebrows are set, you now have bold, defined, sculpted brows!
