Spraying Your Shoes
Shake the spray can for 3 seconds. This helps to mix the ingredients inside the can and ensures that the spray is effective when it is applied to the shoes. Shake the can up and down vigorously for a couple of seconds.
Spray your shoes evenly from 20 centimetres (7.9 in) away. This helps to provide even coverage. Turn the shoes around as you lightly apply the Crep protect spray to ensure that the spray covers the entire shoe. There is no need to drench the shoes in the spray – simply mist them all over. Don’t forget to apply the spray to the tongue of the shoe.
Leave your shoes to dry for 10 minutes. Place your shoes in a safe place away from dust and heat. The laundry and your wardrobe are great places to leave the shoes to dry. After 10 minutes hours, touch the shoes to ensure that they are dry. Leather shoes tend to dry within 5 minutes and suede shoes will often take a little longer to dry. If the shoes are still tacky to touch after 10 minutes, leave them to dry for another 10-20 minutes. The spray will be invisible once it is dry.
Apply a second coat if you've never applied the product before. This helps to build up a solid coating of the Crep protect spray on the shoes. In the future, you will only need to apply 1 coat of spray onto the shoes to touch-up the protective coating. Allow the second coat to dry for 2 hours before wearing the shoes.
Following Best Practices
Apply the product outside on a surface that won’t be stained. It is always best to use aerosol products outside where there is good airflow. Place your shoes onto scrap paper or newspaper to protect the surface below. Crep protect spray contains 98% natural ingredients – making it one of the more natural shoe protectants.
Use the spray on all types of shoes. Crepe protect spray works well on leather shoes, Ugg boots, Vans, suede boots, sneakers, Timberlands, and faux leather. The nanotechnology ingredients in the spray help to stop dirt from absorbing into the fabric of your shoes. This allows you to simply wipe them clean when they get dirty. Crep protect spray is famously known for repelling ketchup from staining sneakers. Crep protect spray is a great option for fly-knit, fleece, nubuck, or mesh sneakers.
Reapply the spray every 4 weeks if you wear your shoes regularly. The spray will last up to 4 weeks if you wear the shoes every day. If you spray your shoes and leave them in a wardrobe for a month, they will still have another 4 weeks of wear left in them. If you only wear your shoes a few times a week, the spray will last up to 8 weeks.
Storing the Spray
Keep your spray in a cool, dry place. This prevents the spray from drying out. Makes sure to keep your Crep protect spray away from flames, as it is flammable.
Place the spray away from children and pets. Store the spray out of reach of pets and children to avoid accidental consumption. If you don’t have any high cupboards, install child-proof latches on your storage cupboard. Keep the label on the bottle so that the contents of the bottle is clear. If your pet drinks the spray, contact a vet to discuss the best course of action.
Replace the spray after 2 years. Check the bottom of the bottle to find the expiry date. This is generally about 2 years after the purchase date. If you can’t hear anything when you shake the bottle, this shows that the product has run out or has dried up.
