How to Turn Off Retweets for a Specific User
There many auto-retweeting accounts on X, the site formerly known as Twitter. However, you can turn off retweets for a specific user if you don’t like their Tweets.
Steps

Using the X/Twitter App for Android

Launch the X platform app. It’s the black icon with a white X. Login with your account, if you haven't already done so. Also, make sure that your app is up to date.

Navigate to the X profile you want to mute. Use the search bar to easily find the preferred account.

Tap on the ⋮ button. You can see this icon at the top-right corner of the app. A menu panel will show up. On iOS, tap the gear icon.

Tap on Turn off Retweets. It will be the second option on the list.

That's it! To re-enable retweets, click on the ⋮ icon again and select the Turn on Retweets option. Done!

Using the X/Twitter Website

Login to X. Go to www.twitter.com in your web browser and sign in with your account details.

Open the X profile you want to mute. You can mute retweets from any account, but you can't turn off retweets from all X accounts that you follow at once.

Locate the icon with three dots ( ⋯ ) from the user's profile. Click on the ⋯ icon to view the hidden menu.

Select Turn off Retweets from the drop-down menu. When you're done, the following message will pop up on your screen: “Retweets from account will no longer appear in your timeline.”

Done! If you want to re-enable retweets, click on the ⋯ icon again and select the Turn on Retweets option. That's it!

What's your reaction?
