How to Set up the Kimura from the Closed Guard in Jiu Jitsu
While training or defending yourself from this position it is a good idea to break down your opponent's posture. The Kimura (shoulder lock) is a great attack from this position and will open up many other opportunities if the opponent defends.
Steps

Take your opponent in the closed guard.

To break your opponent’s posture, pull them into you using your legs as you push their arms out to the side with your hands.

Now grab their right wrist with your left hand, unlock your feet, and sit up toward that arm to lock the arm in the Kimura position (wrapping around your opponent's arm with your right arm and grabbing your own wrist).

To finish, lie back to the floor and turn into your opponent while scooting his hips away. Put your right foot on their left hip, throw your left leg high over their upper back, and get the submission.

What's your reaction?
