Porridge, similar to oatmeal, can be enjoyed as a hot breakfast meal. Usually it's prepared on the stove top, but with these instructions, you can make it in the microwave.

Tip in the half-cup of porridge oats.

Pour in the cup of milk.

Place in the microwave for 2 1/2 minutes on full power.

Take the bowl out of the microwave.

Stir.

Put back in the microwave for 2 minutes on the second highest power.

Take out of the microwave.

Stir.

Add your toppings.

Serve and enjoy.
