How to Make Nuka Cola Caps from Fallout
In the world of Fallout, America is in ruins after the devastation of nuclear warfare. It's every man for himself in this post-apocalyptic RPG, and there are many insane twists in store for players. One key element of the Fallout games is the system of bartering and trade: bottle caps. Yes, bottle caps of the ever-popular "Nuka Cola" soda are the currency in the Wasteland (and in real life, for the Fallout fans who know of the legend of the man who paid for Fallout 4 using only bottle caps). Unlike the lore of the games, these bottle caps are quite easy to produce on your own.
Steps

Collect some bottle caps. Old, battered bottle caps work best.

Clean the caps. Give them a good rinse before you use them.

Give them some damage. In the game, the caps are over two centuries old; they aren't going to be pristine. Take a hammer and put a few dents on the edges and surfaces.

Take a stainless steel scrubber and run it all over the cap. Give it a good amount of scratches.

Google "Nuka Cola cap template" online. A fair amount of results should show up. Print off a sheet of cap images.

Cut out the cap images. Cut slowly and carefully, making sure to cut in perfect circles.

Take some transparent glue. Apply a light amount of glue to the backs of the cap images. Stick them onto the tops of the caps.

Press down on them firmly. They should go all the way on the cap, with no gaps.

Wait for the caps to dry. Once they are, lightly scratch at the tops of the caps. Lightly, now. You want to give the paper that scratched look, but you don't want to tear it.

You are done! You now have a stack of Nuka Cola caps. Don't spend it all in one place!

What's your reaction?
