How to Cancel Netflix on the App
How to Cancel Netflix on the App
This wikiHow will teach you how to terminate your Netflix subscription on a phone or tablet. If your Netflix service is billed through Google Play, you'll need to cancel your subscription in the Play Store. If you signed up on an iPhone or iPad, you're likely being billed by iTunes and will need to cancel your subscription in the Settings app. All other subscriptions can be canceled in the Netflix mobile app.
Steps

Canceling in the Netflix Mobile App

Open Netflix. This app icon looks like a red "N" on a black background that you'll find on one of your Home screens, in the app drawer, or by searching. Use this method if you use your credit card or debit card to pay for your subscription. If you're being billed through Google Play, see this method. If you're being billed by iTunes/Apple, see this method.

Tap ☰. You'll see this with "More" at the bottom of your screen on the right side.

Tap Account. Your account page will open in a web browser.

Tap Cancel Membership. When you cancel your membership through Netflix, you're also canceling that account on all other devices signed into your Netflix account. For example, if you use the Netflix app on your Samsung phone to cancel your account, you will be canceling the service on your Xbox. If you don't see any links to cancel your membership, you're likely being billed through a different method, such as through the Play Store or iTunes. Cancel through that service instead.

Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm. You can continue to watch Netflix until the final date of your current billing cycle.

Canceling in the Google Play Store

Open the Play Store Android Google Play. You'll find this on one of your Home screens, in the app drawer, or by searching. Use this method if you are being billed for Netflix through Google Play. This is common for those who signed up on Android phones and tablets.

Tap ☰. You'll see this in the top left corner of your screen.

Tap Subscriptions. You'll find this in the first grouping of menu options, usually under your "Play Points" listing.

Tap Netflix. You'll be taken to your Netflix's subscription information, such as the renewal and price of the subscription.

Tap Cancel Subscription. A confirmation page will appear.

Tap Cancel Subscription again to confirm. You'll be able to watch Netflix until the date on the screen.

Canceling on an iPhone or iPad

Open Settings iPhone Settings App Icon. You'll find this grey gear icon on one of your Home screens. Use this method if you are billed for your Netflix subscription through your Apple ID/iTunes. This is common if you signed up on your iPhone or iPad.

Tap your name. You'll see this at the top of the page. If you don't see your name, you aren't logged into your Apple ID.

Tap Subscriptions. This should be the fourth option in the menu. If you don't see "Subscriptions" here, you can also find them in the App Store. In the App Store, tap your Apple ID (usually your email address), select View Apple ID, sign in, and then tap Subscriptions.

Tap Netflix. You'll be taken to your Netflix's subscription information, such as the renewal and price of the subscription.

Tap Cancel Subscription. A confirmation page will appear.

Tap Confirm. Another confirmation will appear.

Tap Finish Cancellation. You'll be able to use Netflix until the final date in the current billing cycle.
