How do Snapchat Scores work?
Snapscores are calculated using a secret formula. Snapchat hasn’t entirely revealed the factors that are used to determine a user’s Snapchat score, but they do list a few on their support page. The factors we know for sure (from the Snapchat support page): Number of Snaps sent Number of Snaps received Posting Stories Factors that might influence the score: Subscribing to content creators Browsing and interacting with content on the Discover page Looking at content on the Spotlight page Keeping your Snapstreaks Opening the app after not being on it for a significant amount of time may increase the score
Checking Your Snapchat Score
Tap the profile button to view your own Snapscore. You'll see the profile icon at the top of the Snapchat camera screen. Your Snapchat Score is the number below your username next to a small Snapchat icon. Tap your score to see the number of Snaps you’ve sent and received.
Seeing a Friend’s Snapchat Score
Navigate to the Chat page in Snapchat. Tap the Chat icon in the bottom menu bar to go to the Chat page. Note that you need to be friends with someone to see their Snapscore.
Locate the friend whose score you want to check. Scroll through your chats to find the person you’re looking for.
Tap and hold the chat with your friend. This will open an options menu for the chat.
Tap View Friendship. This is at the top of the options menu under your friend’s name.
Look at your friend’s score. It’s the number under their username next to a small Snapchat icon.
Increasing Your Snapchat Score
Send more Snaps. Sending Snap pictures and videos will increase your Snapchat score. Plus, receiving a Snap back will further increase the score! Sending the same Snap to multiple friends won’t count for additional points.
Post to your Story. Posting Snaps to your Story will increase your score. Getting into a regular habit of posting will gradually raise it.
Add more friends. Adding friends on Snapchat means more people to exchange Snaps will, generating an even higher score.
