Does your Lenovo laptop screen flicker? This can be caused by outdated drivers, certain settings, and even faulty hardware. Luckily, there are a few ways to troubleshoot this issue. Here's what to do when your Lenovo Yoga screen flickers.
Quick Fixes for Lenovo Laptop Flickering

Disabling Panel Self Refresh

Open the Start menu. You can click the icon or press the Windows key on your keyboard. Disabling this feature may stop your screen from flickering.

Type intel graphics command center. Search results will load as you type.

Click the first option. A new window should open.

Click System. You can find this in the left panel.

Click Disable next to "Panel Self Refresh". This is on the Power tab.

Changing Display Settings

Open the Settings. Click the Start menu, and then click the cog icon.

Click System. You can find this towards the top of the page.

Click Display. This tab is in the left panel. You may already be on this tab.

Uncheck "Change brightness automatically when lighting changes". You can find this underneath Brightness.

Disabling Power Saving

Open the Control Panel. Click the Start menu and type in "control panel". Click the first option. This method will only work on some models, such as Yoga 2 Pro, Yoga 720, and others with Intel Graphics.

Click Intel Graphics Control Panel. You can find this listed below.

Click Power. If you don't see this option, this method isn't for your device.

Click Power Usage. You may need to scroll down to find this.

Uncheck "Display power saving technology". This feature will be disabled.

Updating Graphics Drivers

Open the Device Manager. Click the Start menu and type in "device manager". Click the first option. If your screen is flickering, your display drivers could be corrupted. You can roll back the driver to a previous version, update it to the newest version, or uninstall it completely.

Click the down-arrow next to Display adapters. This will expand the list.

Right-click your graphics card and click Properties. A new window will open.

Click Driver. This is the tab at the top.

Click Update Driver. You can also select Roll Back Driver or Uninstall Device.

Uninstalling Corrupted Software

Click the Start menu. If you downloaded a new app recently, it may be causing your screen to flicker. You can choose to update it first, but if you're still experiencing issues, you can uninstall it.

Type add or remove programs. Results will load as you type.

Click the first option. A new window will open.

Click the app you want to uninstall. By default, it will be listed in alphabetical order.

Click Uninstall twice. It may take a few moments for the program to uninstall from your device.
