New Delhi: Brazilian football legend and former Real Madrid star Roberto Carlos will be seen in this year's Indian Super League (ISL) not just as the manager of Delhi Dynamos, which is already known, but also as the franchise's marquee player.

In the second edition of the tournament beginning later this year, the Delhi team means business, grabbing eyeballs as they revealed on Thursday that Carlos will be holding the teams reins both on and off the field. That may send alarm bells ringing for the other teams a day before the player draft and auction that is scheduled to be held in Mumbai on Friday.

Speaking at an event here, Carlos said he is back to where he feels most satisfied. "I will live what I lived (previously) as a player. I'll prepare well, will practice, really happy to play," the 42-year-old former Brazil and Real Madrid star said.

Talking about his new job, Carlos, who unveiled the team's new logo at the event, said that he is in India with a new dream. "Playing for Real Madrid was a dream but my new dream is to make Delhi Dynamos win [the ISL trophy]," he said inviting a huge applause.

When asked bout whether Roberto Carlos as coach will give chance of Roberto Carlos as player in the match, the energetic Brazilian said, "Of Course Yes!" I always want to be on the grass, touch the ball and I live to play. I will give my 100 percent on the field and I will be ready in time for the season."

"If I was not ready physically or mentally I would have said clear cut no to Delhi's offer", he added.

Showing signs of building a new team, Carlos gave a glimpse of his plans for Delhi and the players he would be looking to rope in. "Former Chelsea player Florent Malouda is also in Delhi Dynamos plans but nothing confirmed. The list is huge but only thing I can confirm is that - Malouda is part of it," he said before signing the contract as marquee player-cum-manager.
