Dubai: Argentine soccer great Diego Maradona has called FIFA a "dinosaur", saying the global soccer body was controlled by people who did not understand the game.
Maradona, who is to coach the Al-Wasl club, said in Dubai that as long as dinosaurs controlled FIFA, corruption and match-fixing would exist, Xinhua reported.
The former world cup winning captain also took a dig at Joseph Blatter, saying the FIFA chief "had never kicked a ball" and called for a former footballer to take his position.
