Milan: Agent Antonio Caliendo has told Goal.com that talks regarding Maicon are on standby amid reports linking him with Real Madrid.
The 29-year-old Brazilian has long been tipped to reunite with Jose Mourinho in the Spanish capital and was in talks with the Spaniards last year but the move never took off.
Goal.com recently revealed Maicon is expected to leave Inter summer, despite recent denials by president Massimo Moratti and director of transfers Marco Branca.
However, the full-back's agent has said they are waiting for news from Madrid to see what intent the Spanish club may have.
"Everything is still at Real Madrid, nothing is happening at the moment, but we will see what happens in the next few days. For now we are waiting," Caliendo told Goal.com.
Caliendo is also the agent for Hercules striker David Trezeguet, who is likely to leave the Spanish side following their relegation into the Segunda Division.
"The situation here is clear. Trezeguet has options in Napoli, and abroad. I think a decision will be made next week," Caliendo added.
The former Juventus striker scored 12 goals in 31 games last season for the Alicante-based club.
