Manchester: The Daily Mail claim Liverpool bosses are looking to meet with their Manchester United counterparts in order to calm any potential storms ahead of the clash between the clubs at Old Trafford next month.
United host their rivals on February 11 and the match will be just the second that Suarez will be available for after completing his eight-game ban for using racist language towards Patrice Evra.
It is believed both sides are aware of the potentially heightened tension in what is a white-hot atmosphere regardless.
Liverpool are reportedly also seeking a meeting with the FA to try and persuade them to clamp down on any inflammatory chanting towards Suarez.
Some sections of United support have unveiled signs and chants slamming Suarez and the Uruguayan's bosses want to avoid widespread vitriol.
Liverpool have already been criticised for their handling of the affair, after strongly backing Suarez before and after his guilty verdict was reached, with Show Racism the Red Card chief executive Ged Grebby telling Goal.com that both Liverpool and Suarez should apologise to Evra over their reaction.
