I want to leave Manchester City: Tevez
Former Manchester United striker has been linked with a switch to Italy.

Manchester: The saga surrounding Carlos Tevez's future at Manchester City has taken a fresh turn after the Argentine striker admitted he is ready to leave the club.

After bagging a brace on Tuesday against Stoke City, his future was once again the subject of the hour, with City boss Roberto Mancini adamant that Tevez had told him he wants to stay.

But Tevez, who has been linked with a switch to Italy after handing in a transfer request in November that he later withdrew, told Radio Del Plata on Thursday that after two years at the club he was ready to move on.

"I want to leave Manchester City. Football has changed a lot for me and I don't know if I will even make it to the next World Cup. And that has nothing to do with whether I'm selected or not," he said.

"I've been treated very well here and I'm grateful. I also gave my everything for the club to receive the results it had, but I need a change of scene."
