London: Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been charged with improper conduct by the Football association following his outburst at Hull City with officiator Mike Dean.

Sir Alex Ferguson is in hot water with the Football Association following his on-pitch remonstration with referee Mike Riley after the officiator blew for the final whistle in a thrilling 4-3 home encounter with Hull City.

The FA have charged the Manchester United manager with improper conduct, and the Scot has until November 19 to respond.

It is understood that Sir Alex felt aggrieved that Hull defender Michael Turner remained on the field of play as Ferguson felt he warranted a red card during the 90 minutes.

Manchester United's next Premier League game is a trip to the Emirates Stadium for a lunchtime kick off on Saturday.
