Buffon to City? We Know Nothing: Agent
The Italian shot-stopper has been linked with a move to the EPL.

New Delhi: Gianluigi Buffon's agent Silvano Martina has exclusively told Salvatore Landolina of Goal.com that he knows nothing of any €75million offer from Manchester City.

The Italian shot-stopper has been linked with a move to the Premier League on several occasions in the past, including Chelsea.

Reports on Friday morning in both Italy and England claimed Premier League side Manchester City were ready to make a mega €75m offer in an attempt to prise the 'keeper away from the Olimpico, but his agent insists that it's all paper talk and there has been no offer.

"We know nothing about this news. I haven't heard anything and, to be honest, the clubs haven't come forward," Martina told Goal.com.

"I read about it in the Gazzetta Dello Sport this morning. Usually the interested clubs will contact either Juventus or the agents, but I have not heard from anyone.

"I am sure (City) like the player, but there is nothing if no-one comes forward. Thus, there is no point in talking about something which doesn't exist."

Juventus have also denied any possibility that the goalkeeper will leave any time soon.

Managing director Jean Claude Blanc suggested earlier that Buffon's intention was to stay on at the club.

The Old Lady clash with Inter tomorrow night, although the shot-stopper will not be in goal as he is still injured.

Juve paid a world record €52m for him in 2001.
