Madrid: Wagner Ribeiro, the agent of Brazil international Neymar, has confirmed that Real Madrid are not the only club who are keen to lure the attacker away from Santos as Barcelona have set their sights on the forward, too.
Real Madrid are reportedly ready to meet Neymar's 45 million euros buy-out clause and the 19-year-old is keen to move to Santiago Bernabeu.
However, Santos president Luis Alvaro De Oliveira would rather see Neymar move to Barcelona, as the Champions League hopefuls are willing to let the attacker remain at his current club until 2012.
"The exact situation is as follows: Barcelona want him next year and will pay next year, whereas Real Madrid want him now and are prepared to pay now," Ribeiro was quoted as saying by AS.
"The main problem is that the kid (Neymar) wants to play in the Club World Cup against Barcelona, and Santos are using their force to make him choose Barca. Nevertheless, Neymar would prefer a move to Madrid."
Oliveira recently stated that five club presidents had made enquiries as to the availability of Neymar, who is currently active at the Copa America with Brazil and is expected to make a decision on his future when the tournament comes to an end.
