Tara Sutaria Confirms She Is Single, Says 'When My Parents Read About Dating Rumours...' | Exclusive
Tara Sutaria talks about how she and her parents react to dating rumours with her co-actors. She also speaks about how she was linked with three people in a week.

Tara Sutaria and Aadar Jain met in 2018 at Karan Johar’s Diwali party. After a few appearances together, they made their relationship Instagram official in 2020. Tara would often be spotted at luncheons with the Kapoor family and the former lovebirds, reportedly, were going super strong and were planning on getting engaged. However, earlier this year, rumours started doing the rounds that they parted ways. The duo never confirmed their breakup or commented on what led to the same.

But now in an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, Tara confirms for the first time that the relationship has indeed ended and even shares an update on her current dating life. “I’m not in a relationship,” she tells us. As per rumour mills, Tara and Aadar parted amicably and have decided to remain friends. However, they haven’t been spotted together in recent times.

Last month, speculations were rife that Tara is now dating Kartik Aaryan, who she might be paired opposite in Anurag Basu’s Aashiqui 3. The shutterbugs captured them leaving the same hotel in the city separately. In another video, they were seen giving each other a hug with Tara also giving him a goodbye kiss.

But Tara confides that she remains unfazed with dating rumours like these. Speaking about how she and her parents have learnt to turn a blind eye to them, the Ek Villain Returns and Heropanti 2 actor says, “No, they don’t bother me. I’ve the coolest parents in the world. When they read all these things about me in the morning, they come to me and we share a nice laugh over a cup of tea. We keep reading about me being paired with X, Y or Z. This has been happening even before my first film released.”

In fact, Tara goes on to recall an instance when she was paired with a handful of people over a span of a week and while it amused her, she laughed it off. “It’s damn exciting (laughs)! What people write about me is damn cool. I wish I was that cool in real life. I also wish I was paired with all these people in real life but none of these rumours are true. I remember this one week when I was paired with three different people. I was like, ‘Wow, this is too good!’” shares the 27-year-old.

On the work front, she will next be seen in Apurva, a survival thriller (set to release on Disney+ Hotstar on November 15) where she plays the protagonist who gets kidnapped ahead of her wedding. Speaking about how it took a toll on her, Tara points out, “There would be days when I had to scream and howl and do action all day in Jaisalmer where we were shooting. At the end of the day, I had to teach myself how to unlearn things that happened in the day because it would be so draining. It affected me but it was important to cut off from the world of Apurva.”
