Actor and filmmaker Arbaaz Khan married make-up artist Sshura Khan on Sunday. The intimate wedding ceremony took place at his sister Arpita Khan’s home in Mumbai. The couple met each other on the sets of the film Patna Shukla. However, both Arbaaz and Sshura have remained tight-lipped about their relationship. His entire family, including Salman Khan and Sohail Khan, his son Arhaan Khan, parents Salim and Salma Khan, and his nieces and nephews were present during the nikah ceremony.
In an exclusive conversation with News18 Showsha, Arbaaz’s father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan opened up about the wedding. He said he is happy for his son. “They decided to get married. Mere hisaab se, ye koi gunaah nahi hai (according to me, it is not a crime). I am happy for him and I have given my blessings to the bride and the groom,” he says.
Ask him if there was any conversation regarding the wedding and Khan says, “I don’t think there was any need for a discussion. He is young, educated, and mature and can make his own decisions. There is no need for my permission. If he is happy then nothing else matters. He just mentioned that he was going to get married and I said that’s fine. I also feel that it’s better not to interfere in anyone’s life as it causes problems.”
Soon after the ceremony, Arbaaz took to social media and shared photos with his bride. In the photos, the actor was seen holding Shura close as they posed for photos. Along with the set of pictures, the actor-filmmaker wrote in the caption, “It’s you. It’s me. It’s us.” In one of the photographs, the whole Khan family was clicked together as well.
Talking about the ceremony, Khan said, “Arbaaz had called his close friends along with the family. “It was an intimate affair and all the people were happy for the couple. We all are happy for him,” he says.
The social media is flooded with wedding photos and videos, a particular video of Arhaan Khan playing the guitar is going viral now. Another video that has gone viral has Salman Khan dancing to Tere Mast Mast Do Nain from Dabangg, which was directed by Arbaaz Khan. Singer Harshdeep Kaur sang live at the wedding and also crooned to Dil Diya Gallan, Salman Khan’s song from Tiger Zinda Hai.
Arbaaz was previously married to Malaika Arora. They were married for 19 years. The couple tied the knot in 1998 but announced their separation in March 2016 and officially got divorced in May 2017
