Kriti Sanon Wishes Fashion Police Didn't 'Judge' Her Looks, Reveals 'Ranbir Kapoor Has Best…' | Exclusive
Kriti Sanon reveals how the fashion police has judged her for her shoes in the past. She also speaks about how she's better at makeup than sister Nupur Sanon.

Apart from her acting chops, Kriti Sanon has also carved a niche with her sartorial sensibilities and have been grabbing attention for being an avid fitness enthusiast. And the amalgamation of both has led her to become the brand ambassador of Skechers. On November 19 (Sunday), she flagged off the fourth edition of the Skechers Mumbai Walkathon at Inorbit Mall, Malad. At the walkathon that was dedicated to champion the future generation of Indian athletes, News18 Showsha exclusively caught up with the National Award winner, who opened up on her love for sneakers, fitness regime and make-up hacks. Excerpts:

How many pairs of sneakers do you own and which one is your absolute favourite?

That’s very tough! I cannot count the number of sneakers I own. I think I need a room for my shoes but I know that it will be difficult. Skechers has so many amazing sneakers. They just keep coming up with newer collections. And I’m not someone who throws my favourite pairs so easily. I like their solid colours a lot including the bright neon pink and yellow. You can wear the most basic outfit but those shoes can just pop your entire look.

Speaking of this walkathon, is walking a part of your fitness routine?

I’ve a habit of walk-and-talk. It’s like I’ve a spring in my feet. The moment I get a call, I spring up and start walking simultaneously while I’m talking. Sometimes I really pace up with the energy of the call if it’s a stress call or a walk call. So, I do lots of steps by walking in my room and that helps me even on days when I don’t get the time to work out.

Walking, according to me, is the simplest and most underrated way of staying fit. I was a part of the walkathon last year as well and it was amazing. This year, the energy was similar. Just to see so many happy faces across all age groups come together to walk and promote walking at five o’clock in the morning was incredible.

You had earlier told us that you would happily switch a pair of stilettos for sneakers on the red carpet. Do you think comfort fashion is underrated?

Yes! With fashion police and all coming in, we’ve become too serious about how we look. Fashion is something we’re supposed to enjoy and it’s supposed to be very personal in the sense that it should be an extension of who we are. I wish people didn’t judge the shoes we wear or comment on how high or short our heels are. I, personally, like wearing short heels or even flats for that matter. I wish we’ve comfort as a theme on red carpets.

Speaking about makeup, what are the products you swear by?

I love blush. I’m a blush girl. I love putting tints on my lips, cheeks and eyes. In fact, think I’m quite good at doing makeup. My sister Nupur, on the other hand, is excellent at doing hair while all I can do is just straighten my hair.

Which Bollywood actor do you think owns the best pair of sneakers?

There are many who love sneakers. But if I’ve to name someone, it would be Ranbir Kapoor. From whatever little I’ve seen, I think he has the best collection of shoes. The same goes for Siddhant Chaturvedi.

What's your reaction?
