Jonathan Nolan Opens Up About Brother Christopher Nolan's Oscar Win: 'I Got to Be There...' | Exclusive
Jonathan Nolan got candid about his brother Christopher Nolan's Oscar win and his upcoming series Fallout.

Jonathan Nolan has two reasons to celebrate in the recent few weeks. While he is gearing up for the release of his upcoming series, Fallout, his brother and director, Christopher Nolan, won two Oscars for his acclaimed movie Oppenheimer. In an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha during his recent visit to India, Jonathan opened up about Christopher’s first ever Oscar win. He revealed he was at the Dolby Theatre to witness his brother’s win.

“I got to be there, at the Oscars, with Emma (Thomas, producer of Oppenheimer and Christopher Nolan’s wife) and Chris (Nolan), my mom, Emma’s dad and their kids, it was pretty great," Jonathan told us. For the unversed, Jonathan has closely worked with Christopher on numerous projects. He was the writer on Memento, The Prestige, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises and Interstellar.

Meanwhile, Jonathan’s Fallout is set to release on Amazon Prime Video on April 12. Jonathan had previously revealed that when Fallout 3 was released, he got addicted to the game. So much so that it affected his work.

Ask him if he always intended to adapt the game, Jonathan joked that this is his way of ‘payback’. He then got serious and said that he met the video game creator a few years ago and both wanted to work with each other. Eventually, it all fell into place.

“From the beginning we knew we were going to make a series in the Fallout universe, honouring and connecting to the lore of all the games. But one of the things that I thought was so exciting about Fallout as an adaptation was that every set of characters had different settings but they’re all connecting and there’s a larger mythology, which for us as makers was an incredible opportunity to play with these beautiful worlds but tell an original story," he explained.
