The Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Uttar Pradesh has released the fee details and guidelines for the UP NEET UG Counselling 2024. The norms and information about fees for medical candidates pursuing admission to various medical colleges based on their NEET UG 2024 scores have also been announced. The UP NEET UG counselling dates for 2024 have not yet been released. Once the registration dates are declared, candidates can apply online via the official website – dgmeup.gov.in and upneet.gov.in. Admission will be granted to 85 per cent of the state quota available in government medical colleges and 100 per cent of MBBS and BDS seats in private medical colleges based on the National Eligibility-cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate (NEET UG 2024) merit list.
Only those who have successfully passed the medical entrance exam will be eligible to apply for the UP NEET UG 2024 counselling procedure for MBBS and BDS admissions. Additionally, students seeking admission to private sector/dental colleges should obtain thorough information about the relevant colleges at their level before counselling/choice filling to avoid any discrepancies after allotment.
UP NEET UG Counselling 2024: Domicile Eligibility
— The candidate must be a native of Uttar Pradesh to gain admission to the state’s government medical/dental colleges/universities/institutions. Candidates who have completed both high school (Class 10) and intermediate (Class 12) school in Uttar Pradesh will not be required to submit a domicile/usual certificate.
— Domicile/Usual residency certificate is required for applicants who have passed one or both of the high school/intermediate exams from outside the state and are Uttar Pradesh natives seeking admission to state medical/dental colleges/universities/institutions.
– Residents of other states, including Uttar Pradesh, would be eligible to apply for admission to the state’s private medical/dental institutions.
UP NEET UG Counselling 2024: Documents Required
— Class 10 and 12 mark sheets,
— NEET UG admit card and scorecard
— Domicile certificate
— Caste certificate (if applicable) and other relevant documents.
UP NEET UG Counselling 2024: Application Fee
While submitting an online application, candidates must pay an amount of Rs 2,000 registration fee for the first, second and third counselling sessions. Also, students applying for the stray round will be required to pay Rs 1,000 stray vacancy registration fee (new registration).
In addition, each college will have a different security deposit amount:
— Government medical colleges: Rs 30,000.
— Private medical colleges: Rs 2 lakh.
— Private dental colleges: Rs 1 lakh.
— Both private and government medical colleges: Rs 2 lakh.
— Both private and government dental colleges: Rs 1 lakh.
