UGC NET June 2024: Interested and eligible candidates can submit their application forms on the official websites at nta.ac.in or ugcnet.nta.ac.in till May 10, up to 11:50 PM

National Testing Agency (NTA) has commenced the registration process for the UGC NET or University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test for the June 2024 session. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their application forms on the official websites at nta.ac.in or ugcnet.nta.ac.in till May 10, up to 11:50 PM.

The last date for fee submission is May 12 at 11:50 pm. Candidates will be able to avail the application form correction process from May 13 to 15 (up to 11:50 pm). As per the official notice, the UGC NET June 2024 exam will be held on June 16 in the pen and paper OMR mode. Candidates get three hours to answer a total of 150 multiple-choice questions. The exam city intimation and admit card date will be issued later.

“Candidates must ensure that the e-mail address and Mobile Number provided in the Online Application Form are their own or Parents/Guardians only as all information/ communication will be sent by NTA through e-mail on the registered e-mail address or SMS on the registered Mobile Number only,” reads the official notice by NTA.

UGC NET June 2024: How to Apply?

Step 1. Visit the official website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

Step 2. On the homepage, locate and click on the UGC NET June 2024 application form link.

Step 3. Register by providing the necessary details.

Step 4. Complete the application form and make the required fee payment.

Step 5. Down the application form and confirmation slip. Take a printout for future reference.

UGC NET June 2024: Application Fees

The application fee for general or unreserved category candidates is Rs 1150.  Those belonging to General-EWS, OBC-NCL will have to Rs 600 while SC, ST, and PwD category candidates have to pay Rs 325.

This exam is held every year in June and December for candidates aspiring to be eligible for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges. Furthermore, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has announced that the National Eligibility Test (NET) scores will be valid for PhD admissions from the 2024-25 academic session. The decision was made in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
