We are talking about the Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM), located in Bhopal. It was established in 1982 as an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Agriculture and later it was brought under the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India. Since then, the institute has developed itself as an educational, training, research and consultancy organisation in the field of environment and sustainability.
To gain admission to IIFM, candidates must apply and appear for entrance exams such as CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, or GMAT. Only after taking one of these exams can they apply to IIFM. The scores from these exams are used to shortlist candidates. Based on their exam scores, candidates are invited for a personal interview, which is conducted offline at centres in Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Delhi, Guwahati, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata.
