The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) is set to declare the results for the Class 9 lateral entry selection test (LEST) 2024 by this month. The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) for class 6 admission too is going to be released soon. As per media reports, the class 6 and class 9 results are likely to be declared tomorrow, March 27, however, there has been no official confirmation by NVS.
Students are advised to stay updated with the official website, navodaya.gov.in, for the announcement of the results and the cut-off marks. The selection list will be based on the marks obtained by the students in the examination. The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti will release the JNV cut-offs considering factors like the number of students appearing in the exam, the difficulty level of the exam, and cut-off trends from previous years.
How to download the merit list?
To download the Navodaya class 6, class 9 merit list 2024, candidates should follow these steps:
1. Visit the official website and check the admission notification.
2. Look for the official notification containing the selection list.
3. The list will be displayed on the screen.
4. Candidates can check their results and scores by entering their name or roll number.
The class 9 examination, which took place on February 10, witnessed the participation of approximately 20 lakh students. Among these, only 5,000 candidates will qualify for admission. The entrance test for the Navodaya 9th class admission 2024 was held on February 10, 2024.
Meanwhile, the JNV Selection Test for admission to Class 6 was conducted in two phases. Phase I took place on November 4, followed by Phase II on January 20, 2024. Candidates who successfully clear the first phase (written exam) proceed to the second stage — the in-person interviews aimed at assessing their social skills, academic performance, and overall personality.
Provisionally selected candidates will be required to submit relevant documents for verification. Admission to Navodaya schools will be confirmed only after the document verification process. According to the age limit criteria, the date of birth of the student should fall between May 1, 2009 and July 31, 2011, inclusive of both days.
