The National Testing Agency (NTA) faces severe allegations of a paper leak involving the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) and University Grants Commission- National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET). This will cause a delay in releasing the results of Central University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET-UG). While the precise date and time have not yet been revealed, the NTA will publish the subject-wise provisional answer key and scanned OMR sheets on the website, exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG.
CUET-UG is the single-window test for admissions of students to many undergraduate programs including Delhi University, Allahabad University and Banaras Hindu University (BHU). This year, the CUET exams were held in a hybrid manner – online and offline between May 15 to May 31, over multiple shifts located in 379 cities including 26 cities outside India as well. This year, more than 13 lakh students appeared for CUET UG exams. Now, students are eagerly awaiting their results.
While there’s much controversy surrounding the NEET UG exams, questions are also being raised on the successful conduct of CUET-UG. During these exams as well, there were multiple irregularities reported from many centres.
When can students expect the result of CUET UG?
As per the schedule released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for CUET UG 2024, the result of the entrance exam should be released on June 30. Amid this controversy, the NTA Chief, Subodh Kumar Singh was removed and now retired IAS Officer Pradeep Singh Kharola as the new Director General.
The Delhi University will be preparing the merit list using the subject-based normalised scores of candidates for admissions. It will calculate the program-specific merit score based on the established eligibility criteria. The admission process involves registering on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal. Candidates will be able to select their preferred courses and colleges, view the allocation list, accept allocated seats and receive approval from respective colleges.
