On the occasion of World Youth Skills Day, an employment fair was organised on Monday, July 15, at the Government Industrial Training Institute in Jalna, Maharashtra. The event, titled Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Employment Fair, provided a significant opportunity for job seekers in the district. The fair, coordinated by Jalna District Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship Guidance Centre along with the Government Industrial Training Institute, featured interviews for 551 job vacancies across various sectors. Representatives from 14 prominent companies were present to conduct interviews and select suitable candidates.
Candidates with qualifications ranging from Class 10 and 12 to ITI, BA, BCom, BSc, MCom, Diploma, BE, MBA, MSW, and others participated in the interviews. The companies offering positions included Jalna MIDC’s Metarol ESAT Pvt Ltd, Vikram T Processor Pvt Ltd, NRB Bearings Limited, SRJ Steel Pvt Ltd, Bhagyalakshmi Rolling Mill Pvt Ltd, Om Sai Manpower Pvt Ltd, Okrop Engineering Pvt Ltd, Vinod Roy Engineering Pvt Ltd, Bhumi Cutix Industry Pvt Ltd, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Dhoot Transmission Pvt Ltd, Navbharat Fertilisers Ltd, Canpac India Pvt Ltd, and Talensetu Services Pvt Ltd from Pune.
Bhujang Rithe, Assistant Commissioner of Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship in Jalna, urged prospective candidates to attend with multiple copies of their bio-data, educational documents, Aadhaar card, and service plan registration photocopies.
Rithe emphasised the importance of registering as job seekers on the website https://rojgar.mahaswayam.gov.in/ for those who haven’t already done so.
