The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has announced the results of the Chartered Accountancy (CA) Final and Intermediate exams held in November 2023. Madhur Jain, a 22-year-old candidate from Jaipur, has topped these exams. He has bagged the All India Rank (AIR) 1 in these examinations. He secured 619 marks out of 800 that is, 77.38 percent marks in the Chartered Accountant final examination. Madhur hails from a family where many people work as CAs already and it inspired him to secure brilliant marks in this exam. Madhur lives with his mother and elder brother in Malviya Nagar, Jaipur. Madhur completed his schooling at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in Commerce Stream. He secured Rank 15 in the CA Foundation and Rank 13 in the CA Intermediate Exam.
Madhur aims to become a Chartered Financial Analyst and likes to play cricket in his free time. Madhur didn’t rely on coaching and prepared for the exam via the online method. He doesn’t engage a lot on social media and instead loves spending time with his family and friends.
Madhur interacted with indianexpress.com regarding this accomplishment. According to Madhur, he started preparing for the exam in 2019 and used to study eight to 10 hours every day in the beginning. He, however, increased the study time to 12-13 hours each day as the CA Final exam date approached. As per Madhur, the vast syllabus posed a major problem for him. He said, “The CA syllabus is so vast that it gets frustrating. By the time you are done with your coaching classes, everything gets wiped from your memory because it is nearly impossible to remember such a vast syllabus.” To overcome this problem, Madhur said that he did at least three rounds of revisions for most subjects.
The other toppers in this exam are Sanskruti Atul Parolia of Mumbai. She bagged 2nd place with 74.88 percent marks by getting 599 marks out of 800. Jaipur’s Tikendra Kumar Singhal and Rishi Malhotra jointly stood third with 590 marks out of 800.
