The UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board is currently conducting the recruitment examination for the posts of head radio operator, assistant radio operator and workshop employees. The board has released a total of 2,430 vacancies under the recruitment drive. The workshop employee recruitment exam was held on January 29 and 30 whereas the head operator exam was conducted on January 30 and 31. Currently, the examination for the post of Assistant Operator is being held. Now, during the exam for this post, a “solver” has been caught by UP Police who came on behalf of a candidate with a fake admit card.
The culprit was caught at the National Girls Inter College, Baulia Railway Colony in the Shahpur police station area of Gorakhpur. It was one of the exam centres for the written test of the Assistant Operator post. The solver was caught on Thursday, February 1. The name of the accused is Vijay Kumar Rai. He is a resident of Khalilabad.
According to reports, he was appearing for the exam in place of Avnish Yadav, a resident of Kamasin Khurd village of Maharajganj. The accused was caught during the scrutiny of admit cards. The Inspector of the examination centre, Narendra Singh was inspecting the candidates on the basis of their admit cards and documents.
When he and his team questioned him on suspicion, the admit card of the accused turned out to be fake. After catching him red-handed, they contacted the police immediately and handed him over to the concerned authorities. According to reports, the accused used to study in a coaching institute located in Sant Kabir Nagar district in Uttar Pradesh. He attended coaching from 2010 to 2022. The accused had allegedly received Rs 1 lakh in exchange for appearing in the exam in place of Avinash Yadav.
Recently, the Uttar Pradesh Police arrested another person who had allegedly appeared in competitive exams in place of candidates, as per a report in PTI. The arrest was made on a tip-off from a CTET centre at Banthara, Uttar Pradesh. The spokesperson of the police’s Special Task Force said that they received a tip-off which said that Manish Kumar would be appearing for the test in place of Shubham Yadav. Two fake identity cards and many CTET admit cards were seized from him.
