The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) successfully administered the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) examination for the January session on January 24, 2024. As the examination concludes, candidates are now anticipating the release of the provisional answer key, which is expected to be out on the official examination website, ctet.nic.in soon.

Candidates who appeared for the CTET January 2024 exam can log in to the official website to access the provisional answer key. Alongside the answer key, CBSE will also provide scanned images of the candidates’ OMR sheets, ensuring transparency in the evaluation process.

In the previous CTET examination conducted on August 20, the answer keys and corresponding OMR images were released on September 15. Continuing its trend, CBSE is expected to provide marks sheets and certificates through DigiLocker, with more details to be released by the board in the near future.

Approximately 27 lakh candidates registered for the CTET January 2024 examination, with around 9.58 lakh candidates for Paper 1 (Class 1-5) and approximately 17.35 lakh candidates for Paper 2 (Class 6-8).

Step 2. Navigate to the dedicated answer key section.

Step 3. Provide the required login details.

Step 4. Download the CTET answer key 2024 in PDF format.

CTET answer key 2024: OMR sheet and objection process

The provisional answer key for CTET 2024 will be accompanied by scanned images of candidates’ OMR Answer Sheets and an online objection link.

To dispute the provisional answer keys, candidates must log in and follow these steps:

Step 1. Access the official website at ctet.nic.in.

Step 2. Click on the answer key link.

Step 3. Enter the roll number and date of birth.

Step 4. Navigate to the link for submitting challenges.

Step 5. Choose the question to be challenged.

Step 6. Use the ‘Click to Enter Your Answer’ link.

Step 7. Select the correct answer option.

Step 8. Click on the ‘Update’ link to finalise the challenge.

Step 9. Pay the Rupees 1,000 fee per CTET answer key objection.

Step 10. Submit and save the confirmation page.

Candidates were granted the opportunity to raise objections, subject to a fee of Rupees 1,000 per question. CBSE has emphasised that challenges submitted by candidates will be thoroughly reviewed. If subject experts identify any errors and accept the challenges, the board will make a policy decision, and the fee for the successful challenges will be refunded.
