The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) is accepting registration for CSAB 2024 special round counselling. The registration window for vacant seats at NIT + System was officially opened on July 31. Interested candidates can register for the special round on the official website, csab.nic.in. The deadline for registering is August 2, 2024, as per the schedule.
How to Apply for the CSAB Special Round Registration 2024?
Step 1: Click on csab.nic.in to access the official website.
Step 2: Select the “Go to CSAB Special” option from the homepage.
Step 3: Select that hyperlink.
Step 4: Select “Online Registration and Choice Filling for CSAB Special Round”.
Step5: Complete the online registration form.
Step 6: Click “Submit” after paying the required registration price.
Step 7: Save the confirmation page to your system for later use.
Following registration, candidates must pay a special round enrolment fee of Rs 25,000 for persons with disabilities (PwD), scheduled caste (SC) and scheduled tribe (ST).
For general, the general-economically weaker section (GEN-EWS), or other backward classes—non-creamy layer (OBC-NCL) candidates, the fee is Rs 45,000.A non-refundable special round processing cost of Rs 5,000 is included in this price.
Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA 2024) carried out the joint-counselling and seat allocation to the NIT + System, according to a release issued by the CSAB 2024 headquarters, National Institute of Technology – Karnataka (NITK), on Tuesday.
Approximately 41,000 of the 42,200 seats available in the NIT+ System were assigned to candidates up until the fifth and final round of JoSAA counselling, where approximately 28,700 candidates accepted their seat assignments. The NIT-K-organized CSAB Special Round Counselling will be used to fill any vacant seats.
The CSAB has two special rounds of awarding seats slated. On August 5, 2024, the results of the CSAB special round 1 seat allocation will be announced.
Candidates holding a seat in DASA-2024 are not eligible to take part in the CSAB special rounds, according to the official release. Such candidates must give up or withdraw their DASA-2024 seats by the deadline in order to be qualified for the CSAB special rounds.
