The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has announced the Assam HS Result 2024 today, May 9 at 9 am. Students who appeared for the AHSEC 12th exams can view and download the results through the official website, which is ahsec.assam.gov.in. The AHSEC conducted the class 12 exams from February 12 to March 13, across various exam centres in the state. As many as 2,80,216 candidates took the exam, with 142,732 being female and 1,39,486 male candidates. Of the total candidates, 54,287 appeared from the science stream, 17,582 from commerce and 2,06,467 from the arts stream.
Assam Board Class 12 Results 2024: Pass Percentage Over The Years
This year’s pass rate for the Assam board Class 12 Exam is 88.64 per cent. The Science stream recorded a pass rate of 90.29 per cent, while the Arts and Commerce streams recorded pass rates of 88.24 per cent and 88.28 per cent, respectively.
In 2023, AHSEC recorded an overall pass percentage of 84.96 percent in the science stream, 79.57 percent in commerce and 70.12 percent in the arts. A total of 46,383 students appeared in the class 12 board exams, and only 39,405 students passed the exams.
The year 2022 recorded an exceptional performance by the science stream. AHSEC declared the Class 12 board results on June 27 at 9 am. The overall pass percentage for science students was an impressive 92.19 percent. However, the arts stream achieved 83.48 percent, and commerce students achieved 87.26 percent. In addition to that, girls outperformed boys in all three streams.
Coming to the year 2021, the results were announced on July 31 at 9 am. As many as 2,49,812 students took the class 12 board exams, with 1,91,855 from the arts stream, 38,430 from the science stream, 18,443 from the commerce stream and 1,081 from the vocational course. The board saw an overall pass percentage of 98.93 percent.
Talking about the year 2020, commerce scored the highest pass percentage with 88.18 percent. AHSEC’s science stream scored the second spot with a pass percentage of 88.06, while 78.28 percent of students passed in arts.
The pass percentage in the year 2019 stood at 75.14 percent for the arts stream. In the commerce stream, the pass percentage was 87.59 percent and in the science stream, the pass percentage was recorded 86.59 percent.
