The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the Air Force Common Admission Test or AFCAT 1 Result 2024 today, March 8. The results are now available on the official website of Air Force afcat.cdac.in/AFCAT. “AFCAT 01/2024 result has been declared and are available for viewing through individual login,” the official notification reads.

Through the AFCAT 01/2024 recruitment drive, the IAF aims to fill 317 vacant posts in the Flying, Ground Duty (Technical), and Ground Duty (Non-Technical) branches of the Indian Air Force.

The AFCAT 2024 exam is worth 300 marks. A total of 100 questions are asked in this two-hour examination. All the questions are in objective form and are in English. The examination also has a negative marking of one mark for each wrong answer.

Those selected will be paid a fixed stipend of Rs 56,100 per month for the duration of their training. Those who become an officer in the flying branch will get a salary of around Rs 85,372 per month. Whereas in Ground Duty (Technical Branch) the salary will be around Rs 74,872 per month and in Ground Duty (Non-Technical Branch) the salary will be around Rs 71,872 per month.

AFCAT 01/2024 Result: How to Check?

Step 1: Go to the official website of IAF at afcat.cdac.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, search for the result link.

Step 3: As a new window opens, enter the login details and click on submit.

Step 4: The IAF AFCAT 01/2024 result will appear on the screen.

Step 5: Cross-check all the details.

Step 5: Download and take a print out for further use.

To join the Flying Branch of the Air Force, one must have passed 12th class with at least 50 per cent marks. They must have studied Physics and Maths subjects in 12th. After this, candidates must have cleared graduation with 60 per cent marks in any discipline or BTech with at least 60 per cent marks.

To join Ground Duty one must have passed 12th with Physics and Maths subjects with at least 50 per cent marks. Must be a graduate with at least 60 per cent marks in engineering or technology. Whereas to join NCC, one must have passed 12th with at least 60 per cent marks in Physics and Maths subjects. Along with this, it is necessary to be a graduate in any discipline. Apart from this, it is necessary to have an NCC C certificate with at least a B grade.
