'We're All Hurt...': Lucknow Super Giants React After Owner Sanjiv Goenka's Fiery Chat With KL Rahul Goes Viral
LSG slumped to their sixth defeat of IPL 2024 following which team owner Sanjiv Goenka was seen having an animated chat with captain KL Rahul.

Lucknow Super Giants’ captain KL Rahul maintained his calm even as he was, seemingly, at the receiving end of a dressing down from team owner Sanji Goenka in Hyderabad on Wednesday night. Goenka’s outburst was captured on live TV and the clip began doing the rounds on social media with users slamming him for having the conversation in public view.

LSG suffered a 10-wicket defeat at the hands of Sunrisers Hyderabad in what was a morale-sapping result. Having fought their way to a fighting total of 165/4, LSG then had to suffer through a stunning response from the home team as they stormed to the target in just 9.4 overs.

LSG sent out a post via their official account on X, thanking their fans for showing their support and vowing to bounce back.

“We’re all hurt by that game,” the post read.

“But we are so grateful for each blue flag at Uppal, and every social media post or comment in our support despite this defeat. This team has shown resilience over the last two years, and we’ll show it again. Thank you for sticking with us, LSG Brigade,” it added.

LSG have slipped to the sixth spot in the IPL 2024 standings after their latest defeat to SRH. While they are still in the playoffs race but it will be challenging road requiring a few favourable results.

LSG have two matches left, against Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians. However, winning both their remaining games will not be enough for a safe passage considering their are four other teams that can also finish with 16 points and even more.

On the other hand, if luck is on LSG’s side, even one win out of two attempts could also open the door to a top-four finish.

Should LSG fail to ensure a playoff berth, this will be the first time since their debut in 2022 that the franchise would have been eliminated in the league stage itself.
