The evergreen MS Dhoni continues to win hearts on and off the pitch, as the ‘Thala’ and CSK talisman was seen sporting a dapper new hairstyle lately.
Dhoni was spotted walking out of the acclaimed Hakim Ali Khar salon earlier today, as fans crowded the premises to capture a glimpse of the legendary ‘Captain Cool’.
It’s not just aesthetics where Dhoni shines but also in his responsibility as a model citizen as well, as earlier today, the former Indian skipper was seen at a polling station in Ranchi (Jharkhand) where he was present to cast his vote during the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha Election 2024.
The voting for 58 constituencies in Delhi, Bihar, UP, Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, Odisha, West Bengal, and Jharkhand began on Saturday morning.
An encounter where Dhoni almost had his say again was CSK’s enthralling do-or-die encounter vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru last Saturday, where the Chennai side ultimately fell short and were forced to be eliminated from playoff contention.
CSK put up a valiant fight after a horror start, chasing a formidable target of 219, and it was MS Dhoni who injected a jolt of hope for the CSK faithful once again with his blistering cameo.
The talisman CSK man, Dhoni, came in to put up a sensational quickfire knock of 25 runs off just 13 balls, as the 42-year-old turned the clock back once last time to instill fight into the hearts of CSK, but it would prove to be too little too late.
Following CSK’s exit, there were speculations around Dhoni’s playing future but CSK have rejected the rumours saying their former captain will inform them of his decision in due course and that they won’t interfere with his call.
“It is a question only MS can answer,” CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan said in a video shared by the franchise when asked about Dhoni’s retirement.
“We have always respected the decisions taken by MS. We have left it to him and as all of you know he has always taken his decisions and announced them at the appropriate time,” he added.
