With the dangermen Travis Head still lingering in fine form, as he was steadily approaching his fifty, MI called upon their trusted veteran Piyush Chawla to produce a couple of moments of magic and to turn the game around on its head.

Aging like a fine wine: that would be the tale of Piyush Chawla tonight as he spun magic with the ball for the Mumbai Indians, scalping two marquee-name wickets against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in Wankhede.

SRH started off in classic fashion, bashing up the MI bowlers at will as the opening pair of Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head helped SRH reach their fifty in no time, within the powerplay.

Then, it was none other than the inevitable Jasprit Bumrah who set off the fall of wickets for SRH with his initial scalp of Abhishek, following which debutante Anshul Kamboj got his first scalp as he removed Mayank Agarwal as well.

With the dangermen Travis Head still lingering in fine form, as he was steadily approaching his fifty, MI called upon their trusted veteran Piyush Chawla to produce a couple of moments of magic and to turn the game around on its head.

And that Chawla did, as he first removed Travis Head with a tempter that the Aussie southpaw slashed away towards deep square-leg, right into the hands of Tilak Varma for an easy catch.

Then in came the hard-hitting phenom, Heinrich Klaasen. But, before the Protean could think about getting going, Chawla bowled a low-lying belter, that ran straight through the defence of Klaasen and castled his stumps to send him away to the pavilion once again.

SRH continued to struggle to make any solid partnerships to stabilize the innings, as MI pecked away at their batting order in timely intervals to menace them.

But ultimately, a handful of quickfire outings from the likes of skipper Pat Cummins and Marco Jansen helped SRH muster up a fairly respectable total of 173 runs in 20 overs, as MI will now set off on their chase of the same.
