India will face Bangladesh in a two-match Test series, the first match of which is scheduled to take place at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The series opener is set to start on Thursday (September 19), and the Rohit Sharma-led side would like to come up with a big show and get the better of Najmul Hossain Shanto & Co. to go 1-0 up.
The iconic stadium in Chennai is known for helping spinners, and the Indian team is expected to field at least three spin bowlers. While local lad Ravichandran Ashwin and world No. 1 Test all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja are almost certain to find place in the playing XI, it will be interesting to see who out of Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav gets the nod.
Kuldeep picked up a five-wicket haul in his last red-ball match for India, whereas Axar scored 86 runs and dismissed three matches in his last competitive match.
