IND vs NZ: Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli Left Disgruntled as KL Rahul Drops a Sitter to Dismiss NZ's Tom Latham - WATCH
Rahul's sudden brainfade left his teammates stunned with talisman batter Virat Kohli waltzing around in digruntled, and skipper Rohit Sharma left shocked at the golden opportunity to strike against NZ being dropped.

When it rains, it pours: the story of India’s day today against New Zealand at the Chinnaswamy. Their distraught luck only followed through the afternoon session, as KL Rahul dropped an absolute peach of a catch to dismiss NZ skipper Tom Latham, leaving everyone speechless at his careless nature.

After opting to bat first, a decision that skipper Rohit Sharma would go on to regret, India were completely dismantled by the NZ bowlers for a mere 46 runs in just a little over 31 overs.

Five of India’s batters were dismissed for a duck, as India lost six wickets for 34 runs in the first session, while the remaining four batters managed to add just another 12 runs to the team’s total.

New Zealand. on the other hand, came out with the bat with confidence, as skipper Tom Latham slashed Jasprit Bumrah for a four off the first ball of the innings for NZ.

With India struggling to find the breakthrough, Mohammed Siraj finally found his stride, bowling an absolute belter to Latham, who gave up the thick edge as the ball zoomed towards the slips in place.

But, KL Rahul, who was set in place to take a sitter of a catch, would go on to completely misjudge the trajectory and would almost evade the ball, letting it fly over his shoulder towards third man for four, as NZ took the lead over India with the boundary.

Rahul’s sudden brainfade left his teammates stunned with talisman batter Virat Kohli waltzing around in digruntled, and skipper Rohit Sharma left shocked at the golden opportunity to strike against NZ being dropped.

Luckily for Rahul and India, Latham would go on to get dismissed soon enough, as chinaman Kuldeep Yadav would get the better of the NZ skipper in front of the wicket to dismiss him for an LBW.

But, Devon Conway would go on to take over the role of the aggressor, as he pummeled the Indian pacers for boundaries at will, as he notched up a fine fifty in no time.
