India's T20I skipper, Suryakumar Yadav seemed to be in his element, showing his support for his teammates as they were practising their batting in the nets. 

Team India’s senior men’s team had their preparations go in full swing ahead of their T20I series opener against Bangladesh, which is set to begin on Sunday.

As India gears up for the first game, being played in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, the skipper Suryakumar Yadav seemed to be in his element, showing his support for his teammates as they were practising their batting in the nets.

In a video uploaded to the Indian Cricket Team’s official Instagram handle, Surya was amazed by the power displayed by Rinku Singh during the training session.

Brutal power you have,” said the Indian captain to Rinku during the practice session ahead of the 1st T20I.

In addition to this, several instances could be seen where Surya praised Washington Sundar’s batting display as well. In one of the scenes, the all-rounder played a squeezed a fuller delivery to the leg side and Surya couldn’t help but showcase his funny side while also praising his teammate.

‘What a shot yaar Washington Sundar yaar Happy Birthday,’ said the Indian T20I captain who left a smile on Sundar’s face as well.

The Indian team will begin their T20I series against Bangladesh with the first game being held at the New Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium. The 15-man squad comprises of some young talents in both batting and bowling aspects which will be an interesting aspect.

Among the ones who received their maiden call-ups include the young 22-year-old pace sensation, Mayank Yadav who made his way to the national side after recovering from an injury.

Another interesting move made by the Indian team management is the decision to use Sanju Samson as an opening batter along with the explosive Abhishek Sharma. The skipper had confirmed the same in the pre-match press conference that was held yesterday.

For Bangladesh, it will be a significant period as they come into the series without the veteran all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan who announced his retirement from the white-ball formats and hopes to play his final Test at home before calling time on his international career.

The first T20I between India and Bangladesh will begin at 7:30 PM (IST).
